If you want something darker we also have 100 copies from Tim Bowler's 'Blade' series to give away. Find us in the town centre on 20th March at 10 am. Tim Bowler - Dangerous Worlds hosted by James Nash

Tim Bowler has written novels for children, teenagers and young adults and won thirteen awards, including the Carnegie Medal for River Boy. His novel Frozen Fire has won five awards his novel Bloodchild, was longlisted for the Booktrust Teenage Prize. Author of the gripping 'Blade' series Tim has been described by the Sunday Telegraph as 'The master of the psychological thriller'.


 
     

Belinda Bauer - Debut novelist hosted by James Nash

Belinda Baurer has written for TV and film and her interests include psychology, sport, and all forms of gambling. Her debut novel Blacklands, has been selected for More Four's new show The TV Book Club.

Festival Finale - Frankenstein with storyteller Ben Haggarty and Sianed Jones

Enter a world of feverish dreaming, as storyteller Ben Haggarty and musician Sianed Jones present an atmospheric interpretation of Mary Shelley's modern myth. Two master performers explore the nature of the consciousness of a man made by man and the responsibility of the creator towards the created. Truly a story for our time, Frankenstein speaks of power unleashed and our fear of the unknown. Ben Haggarty tells his stories with infectious charm and deceptive ease. Composer and instrumentalist Sianed Jones accompanies Ben with her passionate and seductive voice.

A complimentary glass of wine will be served during the interval.

Are you aged between 7 and 12 years and love music?

Come and make Musical Mayhem with Kathy Seabrook. Create your own football chants, nonsense songs and body rhythms. Use a wide range of percussion instruments to set the library alight!

Who said we can't make a noise in a library?

Kathy needs help to invent a library chant using any unusual words and movements you can think of… Can you play a drum, click your fingers and talk nonsense all at the same time? You need to for this session!

Craig Bradley is 'That Poetry Bloke!' He is a professional poet and performer who tours the world sharing his passion and infectious enthusiasm for words. His innovative and lively poetry performances combine elements of comedy and music to inspire and encourage young imaginations. Craig has written three collections of poetry for young people: - I Like To Rhyme It, Rhyme It, Driving The Invisible Bus and Poetry Is Not Pants!
