Jenni
Murray has presented Woman's Hour since 1987. One of the Nation's
best loved broadcasters, she has never been afraid to tackle controversial
issues. Barnsley born Jenni was awarded an OBE in 1999. She will
be talking about and reading from her latest book Memoirs of a Not
So Dutiful Daughter. This is a portrait of growing up in the fifties
and sixties and her early career. It also features her marriages,
children and the traumas of caring for an ill parent and coping
with her own cancer. Relax in the company of Jenni Murray.

Learning Curve on Radio 4. She has written several non fiction books
including the How Not To Be series and eleven novels. Hot off the
press is Shadow Child which was influenced by her experiences at
Oxford University.

the son of a fish worker, Barrie Rutter OBE grew up in a two-up-two-down
on the Hessle Road, the fish dock area of Hull. His acting career
began colourfully, invited by an English teacher into the school
play because he 'had the gob for it.' A One Night Stand with Barrie
Rutter is an intimate and entertaining choice of readings, memories
and anecdotes. From humble beginnings his groundbreaking, award
winning theatre company Northern Broadsides has gone from strength
to strength.
